nope, that's why these chappys are so insecure about it all, still 3 weeks away and we're tracking at record numbers for our sport and we don't include non-ticketed and juniors for our counts like the nrl does
my team hasn't had a good season since 2009-10

Oh, so it hasn't kicked off yet.
Snigger.

possibly, but only for about 6 weeks
that leaves the a-league with 4 and a half months or pure dominance in the summer sporting market

what domestic league during summer in australia runs head to head with the a-league from start to finish(or close to it?)
nbl i think? sheffield sheild? nom nom nom dinner time for the a-league
asian cup starts in jan too so we won't be starved of international soccer either!

all these 3 week/month tournaments you speak of, they come and go. they start after the a-league starts, and finish way before it ends. nothing more than a poo stein on the bottom of davey's undies if you will.
since this is the crowds thread....the a-league will be the only half-year long competition during the summer averaging more than 10,000 per game
the socceroo games for the asian cup will be the highest rated programs on pay tv for their timeslot, put your money where your mouth is and make a bet with me!

the rugby league internationals will be a footnote

the a-league will have the highest total attendance of any summer domestic comp
the socceroos will outrate all other international teams during the asian cup on pay tv
the FFA's tv deal is superior to the ARU's, Tennis Australia and NBL
more members than any other domestic summer comp
the only summer sport that is competitive on any front with us is the cricket but only have spread internationals, 6 week long BBL and a sheffield sheild comp that is below the w-league in interest
no breathing room...indeed

Cricket will take care of the aye league over summer, the other sports are just the icing on the cake.
