In 2013, the NRL and Touch Football Australia formed a partnership and 2018 sees the 50th anniversary of the game.

and from the Touch Australia website as well.

The rules, skills and concepts of the game have evolved progressively throughout the years, and Touch Football has developed into its own unique sport, attracting people from all walks of life, and for differing reasons. “we used to play with a marker and we used to have a kick on the last, we used to be seven-a-side. The skills that people now are capable of producing are nothing link what we could have imagined 30 years ago.” (Dennis Coffey, Secretary General of the Federation of International Touch)

here you go. Regardless of your position it is a good read. But clearly shows Touch to be its own sport.

Nope two different games
Or otherwise
AFL is a simplistic rip off of netball .
given both rugbys are played on the same size fields, main objective is to run in a line with your team mates, throw the ball side ways all whilst trying to get ball over a line to then jump on the ball chest down to score a try! or the fact league is just a dumbed down version of union and is pretty much only played where union is!

as to AFL to net ball! ones playerd on a grass oval and is contact and goal is to kick the ball through some sticks, to net ball played usually on a rectangular, playing field, usually timber, a non contact, non contact and aim is to throw the ball in to a hoop :hmm:

nice of you to share your understanding of the different sports
At least in netball you don't get a point for missing!!!!!! And the girls seem to control the ball better than the hapless players in AFL. It's kind of a fumbled down version of netball!!!!!!
yet netball in your eyes is like AFL

where as league and union are totally different sports

lololololololoon

Rugby League came out of Rugby Union - but agree they are different games nowadays but very similar. A bit like how touch has developed into its own game.
Touch Football is Owned by NRL
touch is now owned by league yes!
the NRLOL took control of it to boost their participation numbers to look better on paper

After the local fans have had there feed they will disperse from the catering tents towards the seating awaiting and entertaining match.
A Chinese crowd of 10000 strong would rival that of NRL home and away crowds.
Fans may have to wait for match to be postponed until later in the season, definitely will not go ahead for quite a few months.

It was a great move for the NRL to affiliate with touch footy. It is the non contact form of the game.

And was codified and first played as an organised sport by the South Sydney juniors Rugby Leage club in the 60,s. Good job!!!

Was an interesting business move! Incorporate touch and include the participation numbers and claim they all play league for PR purposes and wank factor
