Yep. The old, crankiest man in the world Wookie, was at least good for up to date TV ratings numbers. Looks like he's run off to the jungle with all the other hang outs. Probably a good decision lolololololololololololol.
From what I can see RL have fantastic ratings this round. Not sure about the fumblers......but geez they've had some low rating fox games. Anyone know the totals for both codes???
No regionals or gem published on Sunday but they should get at least 250k . Giving us just under 4.4m for the round and giving us a 4.1m average after 4 rounds. Looks like another gold medal year.
And despite what Wookie is saying everything but our metro numbers are up! Probably even our crowds.
4.4m....wow!!! Is that with NZ numbers? Last easter we got 3.6m or 3.8m counting NZ. Either way that's a massive increase. Anyone know how the fumblers compared to last easter?
So overall: RL ratings up.......AFL ratings down!!!!! Kinda flies in the face of last years prediction by a certain 'expert' lolololololol.
Looks like another big year coming up for the 'ol girl RL!!!!!

I no longer count NZ, the last figures we had are from 2014 and cannot be considered current.
So the NRL got nearly 4.4m with what is effectively 7.5 games. Wow!!!!! And with the Warriors on fire so far this season they would be rating much more than 2014. I'll get onto my contacts in NZ & see if they can track down some ratings.

NRL Fox ratings are up 6.24% to 8.054m at an average of 251,688 per match. Metro ratings are down -4.24% (ave 395,000, 13/32 matches broadcast). Regionals up 0.43%. Total FTA down -2.53%. Total ratings up 1.79%. (GEM, Reg estimated for Sunday).
AFL Fox ratings are down 5.63% after two rounds to 3.45m at an average of 181,000 per match. AFL metro ratings are holding firm, up slightly 0.23% to 4.881m, at an average of 271,000 per match, with all 18 matches so far broadcast in at least one market.
Wookie, what was the total ratings figure for AFL R2? Would be interesting to know.

No, those figures don't include NZ. But we did have 1 extra FTA game . With Easter Mondays Souths v Dogs game being on C9 this year.

Taking Wookies figures from this year & last year the NRL has had an increase in total ratings after 4 rounds of 873k. After 2 rounds the AFL have had a decrease of 486k.

The NRL season is off to a great start. Crowds & ratings both up. The crowd number is a bit skewed by easter being earlier this year and the fact we haven't had the weeks of torrential rain that effected the early rounds last year.
The ratings are impressive. Nearly 1m up on the total compared to R4 2017. If that continues it's going to be a stellar year.

why do you say excuses starting early...
Its without a doubt the codes will be lower because of the Com Games..
(and no Mondays game between Parra v Tigers was a FOX Exclusive Game..)
if it had been on FTA would of rated around 800k I would say.

How is that an excuse? Its a statement- 'rating will be down for both codes'
Rugby League generates more and also higher ratings - Why would we need excuses? It's only losers that need excuses. No losers here - just gold medals

Poor 'ol lllllloler is really struggling!!!! I'm starting to feel sorry for him. Even Wookie has an article on one of his other sites saying what a great start to the season the NRL has had.
You might need a spell in the jungle lllloler my friend lololololololol.
