he states it in the article that AFL usually win with the home and away season..

but this season NRL is in front on the home and away season.

but when adding SOO NRL usually wins hands down...every season.

He seems to be the only one making valued assessments of cumulative figures

raw cumulative ratings are indeed fact, however when schedules are different their value and meaning requires some interpretation. Your opinions are the difference are irrelevant. My opinion is they are very relevant. You guys claim my opinion is unproven and ridiculous, I believe your opinion is unproven and simplistic.

they are all provided by the NRL or NRL media, so their interpretation of the figures is clearly subjective.

You still cannot find a single objective comparison of cumulative ratings for 2 different programs by a TV network or ratings agency, which speaks volumes for their value

the Author is a sports reporter who 'loves rugby league, cricket and horse racing' according to his twitter profile, so again, he is hardly objective. He also isnt a ratings agency or TV network.

Try again

I don't need to try again. The figures provided to the Australian came from Oztam/Nielson. And it is a pro AFL article . Getting the last word in repeatedly doesn't make you correct, it only makes you look more stupid!

Man you're thick. The raw ratings from oztam arent the issue, its the relevance of comparing raw cumulative ratings for different programs with different lengths at different times that is the issue. The only people who do this are sports journalists, and they have no inkling regarding ratings and are usually bias

So, again, where do networks or ratings agencies compare cumulative ratings of differwnt programs

most cumulative ratings doesnt equal most watched. If a program is aired for 1hr per week and rates 1m it is WAY less watched than a program aired for 5 hours per week which rates 900k.

16 hours of TV per week rating 130mil is WAY less watched than 27 hours of TV rating 120mil :\:
