Without AFL's big friday night games
As they say in melbourne

THE BIG TIME

FRIDAY NIGHT GAME

These figures are very ordinary..

When will the AFL show teams like

This whole year on there friday and Thursday night games
None of the lower teams are scheduled to play

GWS
LIONS
SUNS
St kilda
Melbourne demons
Carlton *who is a popular team but no playing well

Hmmmm
Thats 6 teams..

The NRL much much different
Show casing at least all teams

Who controls the scheduling now
if they were games shown in isolation they would be ordinary for sure. But when Every game was shown at the same time as another, plus games on FTA, they are perfectly reasonable.

As for controlling the schedule, the AFL have always been open that FN is reserved for the top performing teams. Why is that unreasonable?

Well than where not comparing apples with apples than

Nrl are showing every side on friday and Thursday night football.

AFL however do not show upto 6 teams on either of there nights.

So of course AFL are going to have the advantage

Bring on a suns v st kilda match and see how it rates on the friday

The AFL could win all friday night games for the year.

The end figure will still say
Most tv viewers for the year = NRL 1st

I wonder how many viewers would of watched
Demons v W.Dogs in SA And WA

But but but ..

They will get

Port v carlton

And west coast v st kilda

+the viewer in ADELAIDE and PERTH

than will add all 3 games together..
1 GAME AT 1PM
2ND GAME AT 3:20PM
3RD AT 4:40PM

Which were played at different times
Abit of over lapping
And combine the 3 games in FTA and Fox

And say look look our AFL game beat your 1 game lol

Youre kidding!

Youve had years and years of showing Brisbane on FN for 90% of the rounds!

actually the end figure is $$$$ and we all know who won that

We are effectively using TV ratings on here to indicate popularity, and when they are compared on apples v apples terms the AFL win.

70% of our FN games have rated over 1.1m, while only 10% of the NRL's games have.

2 of our games have rated over 1.3m while none of the NRL's have

Thats XMAN
again, thats the advantage of having a minimum of 2 teams in every state. The NRL couldnt do this if they tried given most of their support is in one huge club, the Broncos.

if they were playing well enough to feature in a good contest they would get the chance on the biggest stage.

You do realise Brisbane have played in 6 of your prime time FTA games in 9 weeks right?

Anyhow, nothing your comp has thrown up on either FN or THN has exceeded 1.3m, which we have twice already in 8 rounds. Have all 17 of your THN and FN games been poor matches?

So lets see if puddycat's but but excuse for lower foxtel ratings on Friday night is true. Like ch9, ch7 will now broadcast the AFL in HD from this weekend. So lets see if the FTA ratings increase and the foxtel ratings decrease.

If I remember correctly and I do, You asked me. As usual you were putting forward the various but buts excuses to somehow how make out the AFL were somehow at a disadvantage because of this somehow :blahblah: :blahblah: And I said to you at the time the Hi Res channel was one of the possibility. I still think it's the most likely. Although it may be that fans have taken a while to get used to the new situation. With a match last round drawing 260k and one the week before drawing 300k.
So the AFL on fox was against the AFL on Ch70 in HD, yet fox had a massive 350k

So it seems like your excuse about poor foxtel figures for the NRL against FTA was BS. Now theres a surprise

Look at those first 6 games for the bronx
All 1 sided bar 1 which was 2 qld sides
Havent met there match yet for a good contest..

No there have been some good games..

But it bars the point
Because the nrl has showed poor teams
On fridays and thursdays
Where it has affected ratings
All teams should be shown.

But the AFL do not want to show there poorer sides
And show there 6-8 big teams every week

When nrl shows a raiders game or panthers etc etc.

And than you crow about a win on friday lol

theres no way the AFLs foxtel ratings will drop to the low 200's or high 100's like the NRL on Friday night. They actually increased on Friday
