nothing to do with turnover you ******NSWAFL wrote:Dave thinks the new TV rights deal will save the comp! Fat chance of that! The clubs need turnover and even a TV deal over $1 billion won't change that! The only club that has a good turnover IIRC is the Broncos! And even they pale against the strong AFL clubs!
Searle can see that the Suns are flogging the Titans and it's only early days. Wait til they start winning!Raiderdave wrote:Searle is after special dispensation for his club ... extra assistance from the commissionXman wrote:Back to the real world Raiderdope. even though they really don't need it
but they'll argue they have to compete against the Thuns .... when in reality the Thuns are already becoming less of a problem .. after only 1 year![]()
the Lions are dog paddling like a drowning kitten .. trying to stay above water , but seriously struggling ... flat broke .. they don't even have 15K members as yet & will be overtaken by probably 6 NRL clubs membership wise in 2012 ...they will struggle to average 20K this year as they will be bottom 4 or 5 again this year
yet only a few years ago .. they had 30K members & 35K fans a game
this support didn't stick ... VFL sides are like teflon outside of the **** states ... nothing sticks ... the support is very thin on top.
no depth
VFL ... a dying sport
VFL clubs don't spend bucket loads. AFL clubs do. And the NRL clubs should but they can't because they don't earn enough.Raiderdave wrote:nothing to do with turnover you ******NSWAFL wrote:Dave thinks the new TV rights deal will save the comp! its earnings V expenditure
most NRL clubs spend a " little " more then they earn
5 million a year more ... nope .. no where near that much ... problem solved
VFL clubs on the other hand spend a bucket load more then they earn
down the shitter they go ........
turnover is earnings & expenditure you dipshitNSWAFL wrote:VFL clubs don't spend bucket loads. AFL clubs do. When foundation memberships closed on October 31 last year, more than 40 per cent were based in Canberra, where the club will play three matches this season. Just 25 per cent were from the 14 local government areas that make up GWS regions, including Liverpool, Blacktown, Penrith, Parramatta, Fairfield, Auburn, Bankstown and Campbelltown, with the rest of Sydney, and Australia, making up the remainder. But of their 6027 members, 2304 - or 38 per cent - come from western Sydney area, while 1718 - or 29 per cent - are from Canberra, with the remaining 2005 from other parts of Sydney and Australia.
Numbers should really start to ramp up now! =D>in the last two weeks we've sold about 1800 memberships. We've been pleased with the rapid take-up in recent weeks. I think a lot of people have been waiting for the genuine start, and in a lot of people's minds that was when the NAB Cup kicked in,

Combine their WS and ACT memberships, since they represent and play for both regions
