A few years ago , when I was a little boy, I used to play with the monopoly money and pretend that it was real. I took it to the tuck shop one day, and when I tried to buy a drink. They all laughed at me. So I understand what your going through.

By adding the ratings for games shown at the same time, like the NRL do on Friday nights.
Here are the some of the combined 7.30pm results for Saturday nights:
Rnd 1 331k
Rnd 2 305k
Rnd 6 326k
Rnd 7 331k
Rnd 8 315k
Rnd 9 386k
The highest ratings result for the NRL on saturday this year is 373k.
Get it yet?

It's only fair. You guys do it on Friday night and have done so for years.

I get it the NRL is averaging close to 300 on Pay TV.
AFL Average close to 185......
No comparison at all.

So if that's the case the NRL fail dismally on Fridy nights given combining ratings of concurrent games is taboo.

I think that if the NRL had a single friday night game, the ratings would still be fairly good, not as good as the broadcast ratings maybe down by 150-200K nationally. The same would be true if the AFL had a single game saturday night on fox. The ratings would be better for the single game but not as good as the combined ratings.

Another embarrassment for the AFL 767 +(7 mate) / NRL 700 + (Gem).

Another comfortable victory for the AFL in the friday night ratings. AFL friday night game will total about 1.3 million compared to the NRL first broadcast of 1.2 million. Yet to see what the second NRL broadcast will total. It might break 600K.

861K for AFL 7 + mate good solid result. 315K for foxtel. The calculated total for regionals would be about 287K
total for AFL (guestamate) = 861K + 287K + 315K = 1.463 million.

This would be minimum.
Fri TV: #AFL FTA 861k (Syd 47k Mel 528k Bri 47k Ade 115k Per 125k) 7/7mate Sub TV 315k #FoxFooty #aflsaintstigers
Add another 300-350 for regionals and it's another big win for the AFL =D>
What's really impressive is that this was a single match with teams involving only one city. The NRLs two games involved teams from both it's heartland states yet was well behind! The NRL were winning most of these Friday night ratings comparisons laste year. Now they've won just 2 from 10, despite the fact the AFL is also live on foxtel! =D>

Solid ratings indeed. Would think today's game will deliver good ratings as well, particularly in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.

Sat TV: FTA #AFL night 569k+73k (7+7mate) Arvo 464k+69k (7+7mate)
AFL Sub TV #aflfreocrows 258k #aflpowerblues 173k #aflcatsgiants 162k #aflhawksnorth 146k #afldonsdees 145k
So 318k watching AFL on foxtel last night, plus 642k on FTA. Not bad for two one sided contests on Satuday night. Around 350k watching AFL on foxtel between 2pm and 5pm in the afternoon.
They must be very pleased with how the AFL fans have taken to fox footy! =D>

This comming from the poster who believes that the MCG never sells out during the home and away season. If I remember correctly you were saying that it was not sold out during the 2010 grand final replay as well. Some of your trolling can be funny, however quite often you come across as an angry, obsessed and sad individual.
Get the post then you fucking know all mouth and prove I posted that.
Put up or shut up.

But but but I'v seen you ******** write at various forums for years that the MCG could sell over double the capacity if the ground was big enough, yet you couldn't sell out the 2010 GF or the replay?

Its on fight club so you need an account on LU.
I will give you the benifit of the doubt and say maybe you forgot that you posted that. Lets face it you post a lot of crap about stuff you dont have a clue about. Or are you going to claim that it is someone else with your user name on LU who posted that?
