The bears are just recycled crap from Sydney they are funded by the government! All this monthy and wealth the NRL apparently has didn’t even put a cent in to the club and its relocation or wealthy supporters from the NRL or Sydney.

Why would the NRL pay when they made a business decision with the WA Government

Just like how the AFL have made business decisions with other governments
For example Gather Round (SA pay millions to the AFL each year for hosting rights
Perth Gov paying teams to play in WA
Tasmania building a Stadium
The QLD Government purchasing land in Springfield for the Brisbane Lions and contributing $70mill to the build

the list goes on

well i wasnt old enough or in the country at that stage to remember those origional mergers, but the teams were relocated and merged with private money that was needed due to the league being in finanical difficulties. not govvernment money something the NRL claims to be fininancially a power house yet cant attract private investment or put in any of its own money for its 2 new yeams who rely on neally all government hang outs

gather rounds are one off events like SOO and like the NRL threatnded to do withs GF protastute it out out to the highest bidder and hae the state pay for it. large events like that attract people visiting from interstate and finanicial models are done to work out the overall return

Tasmania is building a stadium for the state to use like in the case of Perth, other codes use it and events hosted there and are the only main venues in the state. this is not the case for the NRL where most club teams have there own venue eg Penrith are having a new venue built at the cost of hundards of millions something
i can name more clubs that have this also something No AFL club has ever recieved or even close

rubbish on the Lions, the clubit self and AFL still contrubited a large some of that plus private enterprise Springfield Land Corporation $18m

The Lions and AFL have contributed $10m and as well as the Federal Government’s $15m, the remaining funding has come from the Ipswich Council ($12m), Springfield Land Corporation ($18m) and the State Government ($15m).

10 million which would of been mostly AFL ( i say $10million to a 70million build is a great DEAL dont ya think

there was no discussions previously about other sports crying out for a new stadium...
