so how'd the fumbling game go up against the NRL's magic round folks ?
it bombed out
the abject average continued
after having its pants pulled down by our women on Thursday ,
Friday was ok for the drops n giggles , a draw , maybe a minor win over or loss to the NRL when STV is included ,
but thats where it ended
Sat was a bad night for them , just 360K watching a game shown everywhere except WA if 700K watched it in total with STV included id be surprised
The NRL on the other hand recorded its highest rating Sat game on STV in History , thats 29 years. The Sharks V Roosters magic round game was a ball tearer , what a spectacle .. & while there are no figures yet , it would have pushed the overall STV record set in Australia by the NRL in Vegas of 838K
But this sat record might only last 1 week , with next saturdays game between the Sharks & Panthers set to give it a shake
Ch 9 covered the last game on Sat & attracted 425K on FTA , over 850K when STV is included.
yesterdays game on 9 attracted 453K ... over 900K odd overall , out rating the AFL's 2 games combined on FTA at 412K
the 1st game of the day , Warriors V Panthers was an absolute thriller & wasn't decided til after fulltime with the Wahs hanging on , it was beamed back to NZ in prime time & based on the crazy good numbers coming from over there for Warriors games this year , would have rated its tits off
the NRL is an unstoppable force atm
just in time for a new TV deal to be looked at
the fumbling game in 2024 on TV
idk , its just not resonating... the poor quality on field... off field dramas ... lack of integrity generally .. its taking its toll
what do we think fumblers ?
