true points, it is rather interesting times indeed.makingnrlfansgowacko wrote: Mon Apr 21, 2025 2:18 pmto be honest aside from the care factor stated. the interesting part will be the free to air component, fox and streaming components and how it will be set out. the dominance of FTA has been dying a slow painful death and advertising and viewership is leaving to alternative forms streaming, Fox, the boomers who still insist using pay tv for there sky news and footy program will be shipped off to nursing homes or leave us or have grandkids introduce them to Kayo over the next few years!, the maybe AFL saw this and arranged the longest and largest deal they could.leeroy*NRL* wrote: Mon Apr 21, 2025 1:23 pmmakingnrlfansgowacko wrote: Mon Apr 21, 2025 1:15 pm
dont care! they have never once and never will match the AFL![]()
pretty much the response i was thinking of i was going to get from you..
the new NRL deal will be a challenging one due to the changing media landscape, how big a part the streaming and what services will play a part, even the traditional radio rights are shifting to streaming and pod casts.Channel 10 seem to be on the verge of bankruptcy ever 6 months also
so for this it could be a shorter deal of 3 or 4 years the total amount
I do not think STAN SPORT have enough coin. but if they are a serious about being in Sports they have to make a big play
but they will not about outbid the saudis

like a double play holding a FTA Component with 9NOW with STAN Streaming as subscription is rather BIG
how big will 9 Entertainment go
