This is what respected FB journalist Patrick Smith said about modern day fumbling.

http://www.theaustralian.com.au/sport/o ... 90ba955bb8

A couple of the best comments:

" so deficient were the skills the game looked like a rejected script from a Charlie Chaplin film. "

"Adelaide are on top of the ladder. Of 12 games played they have lost three. That should not be seen as a badge of brilliance but only that it is recognition of the Crows being the best of a collection of incompetence."

Sounds about right to me. A fumbling mess indeed.
A season this even is pretty much unprecedented in the AFL, and many fans are perplexed

So you agree that the game resembles a rejected script from a Charlie Caplin film. Glad we cleared that up.

So if you moved to the other side of the world and they played a sport called farnarkling and you'd seen it on the news but never took the time to give it nothing more than a cursory interest but then you see that they are playing a game on say Brisbane or Toowoomba or Warwick or Gold Coast etc... wouldn't that spark you interest just a little?

The difference in skill level has become clearly evident once again with the RL player carving up the AFL player on Ninja Warrior.

Yeah he did. I don't put much stock in these type of challenges however it must be said that every time there is one - like Australia's greatest athlete or NRL v AFL boxing the RL boys always completely towel up the mammas boys fumblers. Gotta be something in it.

Sailor and Tuqiri were both ex RL players and they were pathetic on Rexona challenge :)))

So another star fumbler ..apparently a Brownpole winner steps out of the insular bubble & fails

Beaten by an average Rugby League player who retired over 3 years ago with a serious neck injury & the AFLol player was still playing this time last year.

You can't make this shit up. They should have Buddy Franklin vs Stephen Hawking next week. It'll be a much closer match up.

For another belly laugh I suggest folks watch Meninga v Jackson on You tube. One of the funniest, saddest biggest thrashings in NRL v AFL history.

Classic!
