hey wow, on the right hand side it is cut off but clearly it says "rugby league" and lists their pool below it. that's even more amazing! i thought it was just a headline on the news reel but i think they are actually discussing it. Even if theyre not it doesnt matter, 1/4 of the screen dedicated to RL on USA national TV.

we told you excitement would build ahead of their clash with Oz.

you can yawn all you want, but then again i guess ignorance is bliss.

I suppose it depends how deep into the tournament these one sided games occur

that's true, i expect the semis to be competitive. but hey, blowouts can happen at any time. Like the NRL GF a few years ago 40-0 manly vs storm from memory.

the RLWC is about promoting the game internationally which will result in increased funding, a nice 5-10 mil profit, and more awareness/participation, ESPECIALLY in europe which is where it's focused. The next frontier for RL must be NZ and France. Another French team in the SL and another NRL team in NZ within 10 years. The U20s warriors side is overflowing with talent, they've won the comp twice in i think 5 or 6 years (only started a few years ago) and made the GF this year too.

Then we can focus on expanding further into Europe and America maybe with a RLWC in Canada/USA in 10-20 years.
