any one denying that RL is popular than AFL has not left their suburb, eg NRL fans

how many watched the gaelic football GF in melb ?
50? :-k

RL
475k without the Storm
903K with them

more then the number of Sydneysiders who watched the fumbles n bumbles GF in Sydney
with the Swines playing

And yet the Swans get bigger crowds than any of the NRL clubs in Sydney! So take your ratings argument, Dave, and shove it. You're a beer short of a six pack!

Again Dave, a lot of people watched the Melbourne cup but wouldn't say horse racing is as big as those figures show. Same with Cathy freeman running the 400, or Australia qualifying for a World Cup on soccer etc etc ... Or for that matter Sydney siders watching the AFL grand final for that matter .. Non are reflective of actual week in or week out support .. They are marquee events. You drive around Sydney on a sat or Sunday and you will see AFL posts, kids playing in park, games on .. Same with soccer. You drive around Melbourne and you will see heaps if soccer but rarely would you see rl being played or kids with a rl ball. It would be like seeing someone playing gridiron. I am sure the nfl Super Bowl rates okay too and people express interest .. But it is hardly reflective of support or following ... Although there are heaps who know a lot about the nfl. My pet hate us when commentators use terms such as quarter back to describe a players role in AFL

Oh you're just doing a Dave now lol. If you said a rl team got the biggest crowd maybe but on average :). Even rl folk are dismayed by the poor crowds in Sydney

Ummm, you said the swans get the biggest crowds, I said they don't which it true on my part.

Hell, even the eels in their wooden spoon year last year managed a 45,000 crowd which was the biggest non finals footy crowd in Sydney that year.

yes they why do they only average 14319k for the whole season. if 45k turn up to 1 game, the crowds at the other 23 games must be pretty shit

RL
70K +crowds ............. Sydney Manchester London Cardiff
80K +crowds ........... Sydney London
90K +crowds ........... Sydney London
100K +crowds ........... Sydney London Bradford

ahem
VFL.... the quintessential ............ one trick pony

one city
one state
one country
such big crowds, where does the NRl comp get all its big crowds, Sydney, only for the GF, other than that they only average 16k

large crowds, over in England, well for the world cup final you should, lets not forget, League started in England over 100 years ago, riding off the back of the success of union & soccer,

NRL in Australia
Sydney, 4 games80k crowds, the GF, & SOO,
the NRL H&A season 16k
Melbourne, wtf is league :-k
Brisbane, Broncos crowds declining, they like the look of this NEW game AFL :)))
the rest of Australia, League :-k wtf bumsniffing :puke:

AFL
Melbourne sell outs 90 plus crowds for even the H&A season
Sydney highest crowd attendance average out of all codes in NSW
Brisbane, crowds near the broncos, even when the Lions have been seller dwellers for the last 10 years
SA, numerous capacity crowds
WA numerous capacity crowds
Tas numerous capacity crowds
restricted due to the size of the size of the stadium, now how do they fix the, make the Adelaide oval larger, & build a 70k seat stadium in WA, up grade stadiums IN TAS

Really than WHICH club has the highest attendance average for
2013
2012
2011
2010?

Which club playing a home game (and not a double header with3 other teams on the same day) has had the highest crowd in Sydney?

Let me give you a clue it ain't a RL side and the team plays a game that uses a Sherrin!
