Well both teams have now played their last home games for the season, with GWS falling just 632 fans short. A sterling effort for a team that managed just 1 win, but sadly not enough for me to win this bet.

Technically the game against the swans was not a home game as it was played at the swans home venue, a stones throw away from gws' home venue... Yes that's right, literally a stones throw away yet one team is called western Syd and the other sydney. and yet while i allowed the bumper 22k to be in, gws still couldn't attract the crowds to beat the panthers who were coming off perhaps their lowest point after another miserable season in 2012. Additionally, the panthers are in a city which shares crowds across 8 odd teams, rather than 2, and were playing a code which suits television, rather than one where television barely captures the essence of the sport.

And the panthers still won. The best we can learn here is yet another example of the sheer arrogance and invalid optimism amongst our lesser, generally more racist and homophobic AFL supporters on this sight. I feel for you drac but hope you can now reflect and learn some
