On Sunday afternoons the AFL outrates the NRL in a similar way (however the AFL game is usually live to at least the eastern states on sunday). Overall the AFL has more FTA games this season then the NRL, while the NRL has the SOO and rep games to help it catch up. Total number of games this year is very similar due to AFL having 18 teams and the NRL having 2 more rounds. The AFL will clearly win this year on total accumulative audience.
