Who had the biggest TV ratings on both FTA and Pay TV?
Who has the most juniors?
Come on stewie, tis only one little nRL club, surely the Vfl's littlest one is bigger than lowly parrafatta?

Who do you think is going to get higher tv ratings when one is based in a city of almost 5 million? Apples and oranges

Juniors? ummm

An average crowd is a better indication of a clubs support than a one off big crowd because of someone retiring.
PAFC > Parra Fatter.

A one off "retire"-fest. The NRL community were wetting themselves over the amazing crowd. A local derby pitched as a "special event". Yet they still managed a piss-poor crowd for 2 popular teams in the biggest city in Australia. COme back when you crack 60-90k like Melbournes big teams.

Pretty much all the banwagoners would have already been there for the retirees. It it was a battle for the minor premiership you could only add 5k at best.

Notice the Gov wants to move all the Sydney NRL teams to a few main stadiums?
Did you see which club will remain in their own upgraded stadium out of them all spewie?

It beat EVERY other home and away NRL game for the year. You shouldn't brag about it because it shows what a shocking following the NRL really has that a meaningless match with a few retiring players can outdraw more meaningful games!

Not from my team, and it will not be like Victoria at all because we will still use all our grounds like we do now, just some teams will play at the smaller grounds against teams from interstate/international while the other big local rival games will move to bigger localised stadiums.

Yeah xbutter, the likes that had 75,000 turn up a few short years ago plus the massive ratings that kicked the crap out of your very club being shown on the same weekend.
Dumbarse.

just shows our biggest games are getting ... bigger
a big .. real big . attendance in Sydney 20 years ago was ... 20K with lots in the teens throughout the year
ten years ago it was 30K , with lots in the 20's
now its 40K .. with lots in the 30k's
we'll crack 50K in sydney for the first time since 1974 next year ... & they'll be lotsa 40K's
the times
they are a changin
