Oh and in round 5 a lot of the 7 mate results are not in for example Freo V Carlton got 760K with 7 mate results which would be better then all of the NRL games bar 1.
Even without regionals or payTV the AFL are killing the NrL! Adding both the AFL are miles ahead!
And TV is the only thing the NRL has going for it too!

Interestingly the only FTA RL games featuring in the top 8 are internationals, not NRL. Only 7 of the top 20 are NRL where as 11 are AFL despite us having 3 less rounds.

Im still laughing at people trying to include NRL total metro V AFL 2/3s of metro total with the NRL still comming out second best. Not to metion that NRL have 8 rounds played compared to 5 rounds.
Why would you be laughing? I've offeered to change it. You can include your FTA and PTV together if you like. But at the end of the year you will have nothing in the Top 50 PTV column, and we will still have around 20 matches in the FTA column, including 4 of the top 5!

Been a good year so far for the PTV results for the AFL and FOX as well as having the number 1 channel since the start of the season all of the games in the top 15 or so (AFL) on fox have been simulcast games. As the year progresses more people in VIc, SA and WA will be getting Fox subs. No wonder fox was willing to pay big money for all the games including the simulcast ones. I expect a few of the games in the finals to get close or even hit the 400K mark (I think they are being shown on fox). With a greater PTV penertration next year I expect the games on PTV to be at about the same numbers as the NRL games.
Hasn't been a good year for CH.7 though , And I think it may only get worse until they bite the bullet and buy a genuine ratings winner. Now that Fox have bought Austar there's going to be plenty of rural viewers to sighn up as well.

What utter crap!
Ch7 paid the same amount for the AFL they did (with ch10) for the last rights because they expected a drop in ratings due to the games being shown simulcast on foxtel. Despite this the ratings have actually increased for FTA telecasts!
Plus the AFL is still beating the NRL in metro FTA without foxtel simulcast numbers. Remember metro is where the money is.
