The Lions are NOWHERE Near the broncos for crowds.

yeah how about those ratings, the AFL even beats the NRL in this area aswell :(/ but the way the TV rating are measured are rather inaccuriate due to the low number of meter boxes.

On the Gold Coast the game is exploding. Junior numbers are up greatly ... Southport sharks have several under 8s this year ... That's one club.

Brisbane is still nrl crazy ... But AFL have a definite niche . Suns on the other hand go from strength to strength in regard to their presence in the region and people getting on board. There's definitely a buzz but they will have to do better on the field this year to maintain it.

Wrong again adam, over the last 8 years AFL crowds have gone down from an average of 35250 (2006) to 32163 (2013) so down 9%. NRL have gone from an average of 15600 (2006) to 15940 (2013) so an increase of 2%.

For the records before I hear but but and you try and change the subject to the numbers. I am merely proving your statement wrong. Before you go on about new teams, crowds were already dropping in all but 1 state. What was propping you up was an increase in Vic. Check it out at

Back on topic which you guys clearly struggle with. What is the % growth of both codes memberships over the last 5 or so years. Anyone got a good website that can keep these AFL boys on task.

well wrong, with the addition of the 2 expansion teams GWS & GCS, will explain why the overall crowd has dropped.
games being played in RL heart land with the Expansion teams being pumped each week explains why the crowds are down.
the games that have been played in the gold coast & GWS are on par with the NRL games played there

the NRL has also had a down turn in crowds with no expansion teams,
AFL TV ratings are up, NRL are down
AFL still generates far more revenue than the NRL, even though RL is considered the far more dominated sport in the 1st & 3rd biggest financial market, cities

You posted this when talking about TV ratings in QLD.

yeah how about those ratings, the AFL even beats the NRL in this area aswell..

Where is the proof....
It is a straight out lie...seems to be your speciality

Once again I have caught you out lying...
which brings me back to the one question that fumbefans can NEVER answer.

IF YOUR SPORT IS DOING SO WELL .IS SO POPULAR,& TAKING OVER,THEN WHY THE CONSTANT NEED TO TELL LIES ABOUT IT?????????

What are the ratings for qld ... Always hard to tell with foxtel but your point is valid, outside pockets of areas, such as Gold Coast, nrl dominates with qld residents ... Although there is a strong union following therefore rl is not as strong as say AFL is in its homeland states.

the ratings for the Lions or Suns are very poor in Bris when compared to the Tits or Broncos.

Doesn't stop Adam from lying about it...

Isn't this a membership thread?

But how do we know the ratings for AFL fully. We can't unless fox do city by city ... Not calling you a liar but it's just a fact ... However I don't think it is a leap of faith to suggest nrl rates better than AFL in qld.

Yes it is a membership thread..but ratings were lied about by adam.
I just highlighted what bullshit they are.
& its not a leap of faith..its a fact that AFL rates NO fucking where near RL in QLD..
Not even close.

I agree with you ... Just that we can't produce figures without knowing foxtel numbers that's all.
