in the AFL the AFL it self owns all the licences for all of the clubs
the NRL commission is to povo and sell the licences out for poke operators and bodgey business men
dunno, if it does i haven't seen it
a lot of the individual state federations do annual reports though, wookie made a compilation of them in another forum
the FFA don't normally own any of the licenses but will take over them if something serious happens - like an owner wanting out - or the potential sale of a club
that had 100% ownership of the wanderers but recently sold them to a businessman from west sydney for $12 million. for some reason, melbourne city was sold for more than that ($13 million) which leads me to believe that the FFA still have a minority stake in the wanderers...i don't know if that's a good thing or not but whatever, i can't complain since lowy had a stake in sydney fc for a long time
with our new tv deal starting this year, FIFA grant for the world cup and the wanderers sale, the FFA have a $65-$70million cash injection this year before costs come into play....crazy money that we wouldn't of dreamt of 20 years ago, let alone 10 years ago.
The owners of each clubs license is as follows
Adelaide United - 50% Gerard Consortium, 50% FFA, from what i know, the consortium want to sell the license back to the FFA or find an overseas buyer
Brisbane Roar - 100% Bakrie group , Indonesian billionaire conglomerate family with a net wealth of $1.2 billion
Central Coast Mariners - 64% Michael Charlesworth, English telecommunications magnate
Newcastle Jets - 100%, Nathan Tinkler - looking to sell(what else is he not selling? guy went from billionaire to broke in 2 years lol)
Perth Glory - 100% Tony Sage - minging magnate, net wealth $800 million
Sydney FC - 100% David Travtavenko, Russian oil magnate, net wealth $1 billion
Manchester City - 80% Abu Dhabi United Group, 20% HMS Australia, ADUG is headed by Sheikh Mansour who has a net wealth of $4.9billion while his entire family have a net worth of over $1000 billion
Melbourne Victory - 100% Anthony Di Pietro and co, he's looking at selling his club to an overseas buyer...looking for about $20 million
Wellington Phoenix - 100% Morrison group
WSW - 100%(?) Paul Lederer and his consortium - CEO of PRIMO, net wealth $635 million
