& TV ratings in brisbane & sydney about the same as the crowd
What a game - a great crowd and the players and commentators were saying the atmosphere was el;ectric.

Yeah - I guess if you have one code you were brought up on you may find the other boring. At least your son went along and gave it a go. My son went to SoO and found that boring too - but he works there. But was out with two blokes at the Whiskey Lounge Friday and they were stating what a wonderful game it was of defence in the first half - so there you go. We had a good sensible chat about the different perceptions - with soccer also being bought up - how some people find the low scoring not an issue and can respect the nuances of the game when you know it more intrinsically - but if you are foreign to it you probably don't appreciate it as much.
I missed this years and don't usually watch but have definitely found some NRL/ARL games exciting and fun to watch. Just like you get poor AFL games I am sure there are games of RL that aren't the best either.azif wrote: Wed Jul 24, 2024 10:08 amonly pissy pants jealous fumblers find origin boring fwedFred wrote: Tue Jul 23, 2024 1:28 pm

. Just don’t go all cult like on me lol. Some people like Maccas some don’t - some like Daryl Lee chocolate some don’t and prefer Cadbury …- same with footy codes I guess.
And i think it is a blanket statement , as i quite clearly indicated & its prevalent mainly amongst fumblers , they simply can't hide their jealousy where origin is concerned & their pathetic attempts to do so are hilariousFred wrote: Thu Jul 25, 2024 12:16 pmI think that it wasn’t a blanket statement of fact but 1 opinion. Whilst you have great passion to the point of fixation, which is great for you (I think) not everyone cares that much about AFL or nrl or soccer - some do of course. Just an opinion of one person - who also said he liked a broncos game he went to - think against panthers - said the atmosphere was great and lots of action - although was flat in second half as one team ran away with it. So there has been some liking of the game - but agree - you miss out when you don’t know and can’t appreciate the intricacies of the game you are watching and just enjoying the firework type moments.
The Broncos game is almost a sellout already a few weeks out , so around 27,000leeroy*NRL* wrote: Thu Jul 25, 2024 5:05 pmwho will have bigger Crowd.
