RL is scary
most people are intimidated by it & won't play it , but it is a great sport to watch ...
Australias NFL

fumbleball is a joke sport , fat 40 year olds can fumble & bumble around & giggle quite easily & if they can get the shorts n singlet on, its soft & safe.. & its not much less of a joke at the highest level

Have you played Aussie Rules at all asif? Rl is a good game - just different - the hardest thing I found was defending as, like soccer, some can make you look silly and have you wrong footed quite easily. The other hard part was structure in the line - having to be back behind the ball and right position - lots of thinking. The skills part with the ball was probably the easier part - if playing with good people - and the tackling - well you see it coming also cam brace - in saying that - if a 6fooy 7 inch mountain was coming at me would be a different story.

This not a theory of mine, its a fact the evidence is clear & freely available
fumblers have tested themselves in generic test of athleticism against multiple people from other sports , & they're embarrassingly average , everytime !!
The fans of their sport think they're good because they mainly only display their pityful ability against other fumblers

its time to unzip the bubble fwed
fumbleball is played by more people because it is not hard to play

ive played both Codes, i loved them both..
I found by playing both codes you become a better play overall.

I liked playing both, found AFL more easier to play overall. due to it being way less Physical encounter.
and enjoyed the freedom more with the ball kicking etc..

Rugby League was a top game to play too, but was to physical of a game to brutal on the body so i stepped away.
you really have to play Rugby League to realize how tough it is not just physically but strategically and skill base.

people who always comment have actually never played the sport.

as a matter of fact switch to Touch and you will be surprised how quick and skilful it is (with no contact at all)

PNG NRL team to be announced next week in Sydney
https://www.espn.com.au/nrl/story/_/id/ ... -next-week

Its tipped that they will be announced as team 19 , to enter in 2028 backed by Australian tax payers to the tune of 600 million dollars
the Western Bears , backed by a 500 million package from the WA Govt will enter as team 18 in 2027 , but will not be officially announced until next year after the WA cabinet approves the funding package.

1.1 billion in funding
wow
just wow

now on to team 20 , & PVL this week hinted a team out of Christchurch , the NZ Orcas ... playing out of Te Kaha , a 30K seat indoor stadium is his preference , & he'd want them in by the end of the next TV deal , so before 2032.

Something on the radio this morning - the broadcaster was bagging out this whole PNG thing - one thing he seemed pissed about was the tax incentives given to players - that their income wouldn't be taxed or something like that - he had a real bug in his arse about it - what do people here think - well by people I mean Asif and Leroy lol as only real ones here.

They have to have the incentives to attract players , no young Australian will move & live in PNG unless financially its too good an offer not to
tax free earnings is a huge incentive

Yes - I agree with incentives - same as the COLA allowance to some degree - why would I go to Sydney to play and effectively have a lower disposal income - my only question is why do the government give football players (whoever they are) tax advantages - are they earning the.money in PNG - then it is up to PNG government - but a government giving tax advantages to individuals based on what they do.... jury is out on that one - could argue - is it any different to giving the funding package?? I think it is -as those funds are then distributed - taxes are paid when the money is spent - but for a government to allow some citizens not to pay tax and others to pay tax - not based on anything else but what they do as a job - seems kind of weird. And what happens if the government changes - sure the funds are tied up for 10 years - but this income tax incentive?? And what after 10 years? What if a new leader or government says no to a new package? I'm just not seeing this as viable long-term.

This is PNG & this is Rugby League & the NRL

if PVL said to Marape , you will only get a team if our players pay no tax , then PNG's 11 million people to a man , woman & child would say

so be it

ah no fwed
following a sport that does not have a single professional player on the planet outside of this country has you ignorant .. again

the country where the players reside is the country that taxes them
Australian players playing for the warriors in NZ , pay tax to the NZ govt
English players playing in the NRL here , pay the Aust govt

Foreign players for this PNG side , would have paid tax to the PNG govt because thats where they will live & earn their money.
