Just throwing my hat in the ring but if a competition with mostly one sided games can still outdraw a competition with supposed "thrillers" how are the NRLol still unable to draw big crowds?

The far more popular AFL finals have been mostly one sided games. Although no team in our comp has remained scoreless, and our comp isnt being monstered by a runaway favourite
One bloke missed from 10m out, even the commentator said Wow.

howdy brizzy fan. A fair question you put forward, a fair question indeed. Please take the time to read through my crowds thread I posted here recently. In the opening post you'll see a well reasoned factual account of why the AFL gets fantastic crowds.
Also rugby league is a made for to game, linear and alcan fit most players on the screen at any time. AFL ya either gotta know the game well to watch it and appreciate on tv or it is much better to just go to the game so you can add cruelly see all the action.

I think that's right ... if you're from a rl or union background watching AFL on tv would be hard.

I Had a look just before the real football started, The commentators were commending GWS on how hard they tried - ho brae

(some really needs to look into getting a 3rd set of missing posts installed) But he made it clear they were blown away after halftime.

Wow, yet another lopsided piece of dogshit match in the AFL finals. Whilst a 36 point six goal belting was well below the 2017 AFL finals average match difference of a whopping 8 goal plus 49 point shalacking, it was still a very uneven contest.
I watched the match and left the pub with a minute to go in the third quarter. It was basically all she wrote by then. It was obvious the game was over red rover. And tbh the tigers should have won by 12 goals. They were nervous and missed heaps of easy attempts. Gws showed some grit at times but they never really looked in it.
Meanwhile in the NRL we had a knitter fantastically close match with only one try in it until the 77th minute!! Just amazing stuff!!
So after three weeks of finals footy we now have the scoreboard standing thusly
AFL 7 no contests - 1 contest (avg points margin across all 8 games a whopping 47points!!!!!!

)
NRL 1 no contest - 7 contests.
The numbers don't lie folks, they just don't lie
Ahhhhh ain't this thread just grand?

Does anyone of the AFL persuasion get the feeling Adelaide might come out and absolutely thump the shit out of the tigers by 60 + next week?
I mean the averages tell us that the result should be well over by three quarter time and it should end up being about a 50 point thrashing. So suggesting the day of days on the AFL 2017 calendar will result in a 60 point lopsided piece of dog shit match is entirely reasonable ain't it just?
It's the numbers folks, they just don't lie
Wookie? Can you put a thread of the year nomination up for this thread? Thanking you in advance bro
