a bit underwhelming for the GF replay?
550k Metro + 320k regionals + 230K Fox = 1.1m and add a few! Easter Saturday - no Sky. What are you smoking X-Man?
fair enough. Still getting used to your split FTA and fox ratings. Also, your 2 combined live games were rating better last year of course
The Friday Live match was a ch9 creation. It had nothing to do with the NRL. They would prefer two live games and 2m viewers, rather than 1 live and 1 delayed and 1.5m viewers.

The matches shown into there own state would increase ratings. That's why its so popular with the AFL. However, our ratings for the opening match this year would of been higher than any Fri night live game from last year.
Rugby League, the dominant force in Australian sport!

Wookie you have Parra vs Dogs PTV 212k

Am i reading this wright, 245k PTV for Eels vs Dogs last week.

http://www.thinktv.com.au/SiteMedia/W3S ... 202016.pdf
Your reading it wrong. That rating is for FTA viewers that also have Pay TV. Its at the top of the page

'In Week 12, commercial free-to-air TV programs were the most watched shows in TV households that have pay TV. " - its also got an FTV instead of STV indicator next to it.

Mediaspy says 212k.
TV Tonight says 212k.

Im satisified the 212k figure is correct.

Yeah that's fair enough, thought that might be the case just wanted to confirm.

Sunday is Sunday....Monday is Monday. You do concede the NRL's Sunday arvo game was soundly beaten by the AFL right?

Then we'll see who wins Monday

Also struggling to crack 1million on FTA/Fox simulcasts.

your code proves that simulcasting FTA and fox reduces the ratings for both. None of your simulcasted games have got anywhere near 300k. NONE. The only high rating games on Fox you've had have been exclusive to fox

Yet all of our games are simulcasted on both to at least one market.

Back, back to Sunday's ratings comparison.................you know, the ones you're avoiding

so you guys just ignore the one's you lose.

Come in guys, yesterday wasnt even close. The AFL dont stack their best or higher rating games on Friday night like the NRL. They spread them across the weekend.

Ill admit that those sunday ratings are not good but you have to admit for the first round of AFL these are ave Pay tv ratings.
Not 1 game over 300 and barley a game over 250k.

Your FTA ratings for the Saturday night double will struggle to crack 1 million, now that must be a worry..

Question, do you think you can claw back that %9 drop in tv ratings from 2015?

the ratings are no different to previous years. Saturday often didnt crack 1m, was usually less than Friday. Foxtel only got huge ratings when there was a blockbuster game on because every game in also on FTA, and most are against another game.

As for drop in ratings, have you got the complete figures for the previous years? Because Wookie doesnt. I'll concede that last year was average for ratings for the AFL, but showing the wooden spooner in 1/3rd of the FN games was a major reason. In fact the AFL scheduled FN very poorly last year with only 6 of the 24 FN games featuring a matchup between finalists. Hopefully this year theyve learned their lesson

how many of those games are shown concurrently?

AFL: all but 1
NRL: basically none

End result: AFL audiences can only see 4-5 live games each weekend, NRL audiences can see all 8
