Most of these crowd records were higher than the capacity thanks to the mighty Australian Kangaroos. Then the people in charge along with the police started thinking about crowd safety and since those days, they have laws on how many people can fit in stadiums.

you wanna start posting some figures and actual proof
your little game of rl will come up loosers like usual

Well dickhead, go and find the record figures for the Gabba, SCG and the rest you fool.
Not hard. Plenty of 70,000 crowds at the SCG over the years, quite a few 50,000 crowds at the gabba as well.
dumbarse.

the gabba use to be a dog track with a field in the middle, is a completely different venue now days
the SCG crowd you talk about happened in 1965, which no doubt would have been a GF
the first time the NRL ever made the 50k plus crowd for a no GF game was a few years ago and only ever done it on 2 or 3 occasions for a game
the only time league has ever really gotten a decent crowd has been for the grand final & SOO
the NRL has never sold out the sydney FC
and doing by your logic the broncos have never filled the suncorp

Record crowd from memory was 52 K.
SCG was 78 K.
Why do you talk about things you have no fucking idea about.

Gabba had more people watching the dogs at that old track than any fumbleball team would kill their mother for in Qld.
oh, and digging a hole in the backyard of mums house is not mining. Same as picking your arse or nose, to kids it's mining, to others, it's what r3tards do.

Rugby League – 47,800 – 1954 Test Match: Australia v Great Britain
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Gabba# ... _the_Gabba
it slowly changed from being a dog track in the late 90s and had the stands build in the early 2000s
Largest rugby league match attendance: 78,056 (St George v South Sydney, 18 September 1965

got any recent figure spazza
due to safety and up grades to the stadiums those crowds will never be repeated
now lets talk about the NRL
at the sydney FS and Suncorp never having a capacity crowd?
