Disgraceful effort by the Nine Network. Have it on GEM by all means, but it should be live.
in which state?
prehaps its due to no interest.
the bit what more bumsniffers don't understand, that its state vs state, qld vs NSW, all people watch it to see if their state can beat the other state
I was referring to last night's Test match, not State of Origin. My reference was to the TV Guide in Adelaide, if you would just pay attention to this thread's subject.
for how ever inaccurate these tv ratings are check round 8, tv ratings for the NRL in Adelaide, for the round then the season average. maybe that's why it isn't being shown

Are those ratings being achieved in a reasonable timeslot? I would suggest not. Put it in a reasonable timeslot on a constant basis and promote it and the results will be much better than that.

they are shown on gem and at what ever time slot for the reason it doesn't rate. even since nine took control of the broadcast rights of the NRL, do you think that would have tried to show the NRL in prime time in SA?

Obviously not. The NRL I believe has a bad habit of not pressing the local network office for an appropriate timeslot. They leave it to them. This is a mistake. I am not aware of GEM showing NRL games of any description (except for State of Origin) in the correct slot - ever.

Haha its south australia lol, not exactly a place that matters in the scheme of things... there more ppl in norther NSW and that deserted place. If the NRL never put a team in South Australia the league is not going to be negativly affected by it in regards to tv, sponserships, anything lol. and i do not think the NRLC are having sleepless nights worrying about the growth of RL in south australia, i actually think you would be hard to find anyone here in NSW that would see South Australia as a vital piece in any national puzzle, Not NRL not nothing. No nrl in South australia lol who cares like i said theres more people in northern NSW than South australia... (INSIGNIFICANT)

Adelaide matters very much in the scheme of things as the fifth largest city in Australia, so to ignore South Australia is bad business.

lets see....australias population 23.5 million, South australias population 1.5 million. South Australia is only 6% of australias population so it wouldnt be bad business to ignore it and focus on others. NSW on the other hand has 7.4 miilion or 32% of australias poulation it would be bad business to ignore it

So being the fifth largest city in the country doesn't count? Don't work for an advertising company, 214Four. You'd be fired inside a week.

Jesus you are clueless,
The The 4 biggest TV markets in this country $$$$$ wise.
SYD.
MELB
BRIS
REG NSW.
http://www.thinktv.com.au/SiteMedia/w3s ... 013%20.pdf
In fact regional NSW & REG QLD are bigger than PERTH & SADELAIDE combined.
Reg NSW is worth nearly twice as much as Sadelaide.& worth more than PERTH.
Reg QLD is worth more than Sadelaide.
That is why RL in Sadelaide is not on the Radar.
You should just stop posting ,you are clueless.

No, you are not telling the truth. The five main capital cities should always come first before anywhere else in advertising. This is not about size, it is about influence. Adelaide has more general influence than regional New South Wales, because it is a state capital and because it is a concentrated area. Regional New South Wales is not a concentrated area. It is made up of bits and pieces that have different markets in different percentages. Would you run the same advertising campaign in Newcastle as you would in Wagga Wagga? If your answer is yes then it is you who is "clueless".

You're missing his point AFL crap . He is bit disagreeing with you per se he is just saying concentrated areas probably have more influence than an area called regional nsw which covers a very large area from the border at qld to the border at Victoria.
