80,380 was the highest crowd for a origin opener ever and 3rd highest TV rating for an origin game (just under 4 million) just behind last years TV raitings for game 1 and 3. Game 2 is already sold out (52,500) and 65,000 tickets have already been sold for game 3 still a month away lol! Origin keeps getting bigger by the year!

I'm aware it was the biggest crowd, I'm just going on Raiderdave's logic that if not all seats aren't taken on game day it means it wasn't a sell out.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
You have said it many times that unless ever seat is filled it is not a sell out - your words not mine - unless the game is sold out with every seat filled it is in decline - your words again! Come on you've said this many times in reference to AFL, it is therefore applicable to the NRL - your words, you are stuck with this analysis of crowds because you are the one that made the statement - your biggest game was NOT SOLD OUT and is therefore IN DECLINE - if they got 83k last year they have lost 3k fans and is therefore LOSING APPEAL to Sydney people! Hahahah you are such a wanker!

you utter dingbat slow witted tool
I said a 40K crowd in a 50K stadium is NOT a sellout

a 45K crowd in a 56K seat stadium isn't either
yet fumblers seem to think it is :-k

80K at ANZ is as good as
that's 96K at the MCG

& when you consider what a ticket costs
that's a good crowd ........ an excellent crowd in fact

give yrself an uppercut you shit for brains
Swans get 31k at SCG when the CURRENT capacity is 34k due to re-build - you said wasn't a sell out as there was 3k unsold seats. ANZAC day game again you said same thing, etc etc etc.

You change your stance and back peddle so much you don't know what you say half the time - you are a hypocrite! Admit you were wrong I will acknowledge it was a good crowd![/quote]

the only ones back peddling here are you lot
since when do we declare 90K a great crowd for a VFL GF

or

75K for an NRL GF

40K for a ground that holds 50K , or 45K in a ground that holds 56K , or 29K in a ground that holds 34K ( actually its up to about 37K now)

There you go changing the argument again - you said if a ground holds 34 k and 3k seats are empty then the game is not a sell out and is therefore in decline - you only apply this standard to AF - when we use YOUR logic on RL you backflip and change what you said to something completely different - in WA 37k saw Tigers v Eagles which can be regarded as a sell out as no further tickets could be sold. You then tell us that AFL only popular in Melb yet the NRL only got 12k last night in YOUR heartland! You have lost...........ends there!
