Comment from thread - RLWC is an insult and a joke
it is, like NRL in general 1 great big pathetic joke, over half of the players that played in the RLWC play in the NRL, a player could set up a postal box and play for another country

WTF is going on with the NRL? Last year their average was high until SOO this will really bring their overall averages way down!

Profit - ie. success! growth/expansion outside of the Murray! Ratings :\: youv'e got to be kidding :(/ :(/ :(/ 1 live game to 3/or 4 plus an extra 2 teams . :(/ :(/ :(/ I wont mention NZ and there fan base :(/ :(/ :(/ and despite this there is little difference in the totals. As well as having the number 1,2 & 3 best rating games - 5 and 6 aswell :(/ :(/ :(/ .

Profit? These are non profit organisations without shareholders. They dont payout owners. What money they save they reinvest, which is exactly what the AFL do.

Ratings...the NRL have 6-8 unique games on TV a week, the AFL only 5-6. The NRL also have a longer season. Yet the AFL still win.

But please go ahead and ignore all the other area the AFL are miles ahead of the NRL.

12k for the Cowboys last night.

Apparently the NRL could be on track for their lowest first round total for over a decade. I wonder how Smith thinks theyll grow crowds by 20% in 4 years?

hmmmmm
isn't this the bit you originally said was 8 for the NRL
&

1 for the VFL :-k
then old Raider set you straight 8-[

   :(/ :(/ :(/ :_<> :_<> :_<> :_<>

as for the NRL having a longer season
the VFL STILL has 6 more games then us & has 2 forms of coverage for all bar one game a year compared to the NRL having just 1 form for all of its

personally the simulcast will end up costing the VFL about 200 Million on their next rights deal if they stick with it .... so we don't want a bar of it
we'll be happy when we add another 24 games to our season in 2018 & that puts us ahead in ratings VFL V NRL ... & with our rep program we head out to a 15 to 18 Million cumulative audience win in that year

plus

stay on 1 form of coverage for every game & get the mega bucks from FTA & pay

No Dave you dunce. I said the AFL had 1 game shown in isolation. I also said the NRL had 6-8 games shown in isolation. Try keeping up

Yes, keep a close eye on the AFLs first round, and see some genuine crowds in multiple states.

Raperdave when you judiciously observe the AFL's opening round and feel the need to comment I,m sure you will note that there will be no games played at the largest and most favoured ground...

The total will still make League look like a suburban competition...

Sorry we have an International competition,at NRL level ,at State level in NSW & QLD.

something you bumblers would kill your Grandmother for.
Something that wont happen, because your abortion of a game is considered a joke ,in half of this country, & everywhere else(except a birdshit Island)
