I think all the talk has been of how many seats people were trying sell ... And cheap too. See article posted earlier . But looked like a good crowd . Shame it wasn't full but did well to get the crowds they did. Plenty of rabbit fans selling tickets dirt cheap though ... I guess if you were there selling them and didn't sell you'd go in anyway I reckon.

I wouldn't, I'm not paying $150+ to watch another team. Don't have that much money

ahhhhh

I'll type slow for you & maybe take yr hand off yr little willy for a sec & understand

it matters naught what souths fans ended up selling their unwanted tickets for
they paid full price to the NRL when they purchased them
the NRL ended up getting rid of every ticket for sale bar about 10
83990 of them
& took gate receipts of nearly 20 million dollars a huge increase on 2012.
a record for a game of rugby League anywhere on the planet =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>

maybe the NRL should start doing what the VFL does for its GF
& just announce the number of tickets sold ..as the attendance ... & not the number that actually scan their tickets on entry .. on the day like the NRL has always done.
RL SOO II 4.194 Million veiwers
RL SOO I 4.068 Million
NRL GF 3.968 Million
VFL Grand Final 3.620 Million
SOO III 3.364 Million
NRL Prelim 2.219 Million
Kangaroos V NZ 1.214 Million

Heartbroken South Sydney fans are expected to flock to Sydney Olympic Park for a fire sale of grand final tickets, prompting fears the year's biggest game will be marred by thousands of empty seats.
One of Sydney's leading scalpers has told Fairfax Media that since the Rabbitohs' dramatic loss to Manly in last weekend's preliminary final, the market had become flooded with unwanted, cut-price tickets.
He said: ''The best available diamond tickets have dropped from $350 to less than $200, while the cheapest upstairs nosebleed seats are not being shifted anywhere. Come Sunday, ANZ Stadium will be like confetti alley with Souths fans trying to dump their gear.''

now that the AFL & National rubbish League is over & the A league had started, i found it funny looking at the crowd attendances for the first round,
Total: 100,998 20,200k
its a good start to the season so far, with the groath of the A'League last year
Total: 12,658k 2012/13
Total: 10,819k 2011/12
Total: 8,793k 2011/10
with in a few years it could easily over take the bumsniffing to be the second code behind the AFL =D>

I'd be fine seeing A-league grow, it's a summer sport. not competing with AFL or NRL.

the AFLs gf ticket pricing started from $150, if you ever do the opportunity to go a GF its well worth the money, for the atmosphere, even if its not your team playing.
52% of the NRLs tickets where prices between $75 to $150

I suppose 81k at the NRL GF must be considered not to be a sell out if the ground holds over 84k and therefore waining!

miles behind the NRL's

but way ahead of the bumbling Victorian abortions in these states
