The 3 extra matches on fox each round lower the viewers for the 3 live matches.

Instead of having a delayed match per round we have a live match per round . This certainly doesn't account for a 28% increase.

Think you could just look at the numbers and just admit you have been wrong for 5 years about simulcasting not gaining the NRL huge increases. :\:

Wookie, admits he was wrong and says as much. Good man =D>

Xman kicks and screams and wriggles and cry's his way to saying its to early to tell if Fox ratings are up.......

Wookie 10/10

Xman 2/10

Your delayed game gave you about 400k ratings. Your extra live game gives you 1m. An extra 1.2m over 3 rounds is a fair jump
Were up about 1.8m in the first 3 rounds . But that doesn't include the 750k we got from sky in the first 3 rounds last year. So were actually 2.5m ahead in ratings on where we were last year. That's about double the affect of the extra live games.

Good Friday #NRL Nine/Gem #NRLBroncosCowboys Nine 498k (Syd 241k Bri 258k) Gem 58k (Mel 35k Ade 14k Per 9k)

a bit underwhelming for the GF replay?

Over 1 million once regionals from NQ and Fox are added on good friday is bad is it? :[]

Its good Friday, Nothing is open. Hence why AFL does not schedule games during this period.

Cant really knock these ratings when the AFL stays away from this day like the plague.

I would think its a bit poor for a GF replay.

The AFL havent schedule a game due to Good Friday being a meaningful religious holiday (for many), although that is due to change next year it appears.

That is why the AFL does not schedule on this day, because it effects ratings with all the Religious clubs and most business closed also.

With this in mind 1million is good.

AFL scheduling games on this day is less about ratings and more to do with Crowds as there is nothing to do on these days.

BS. The lack of AFL game has nothing to do with ratings. In fact having a game on when no shops or services open should increase ratings and crowds

How many religious people in Australia?

Now tell me it does not effect ratings....

Mate your arching up over the NRL not hitting the 1.2million mark?

I am trying to understand what the fuss is about... :?>

Considering your AFL opener struggled to clear 1million... :\:

The AFL opener hasnt been a big rater for years given they always play Carlton v Richmond who havent been good sides for decades. Our bigger rating games come once daylight savings ends and there are decent matchups.

last night rated poorly for a great matchup, no matter how many people were at the closed shops :(/

550k Metro + 320k regionals + 230K Fox = 1.1m and add a few! Easter Saturday - no Sky. What are you smoking X-Man?

fair enough. Still getting used to your split FTA and fox ratings. Also, your 2 combined live games were rating better last year of course
