Bea, they went broke when Mike Willesee got them, they went broke when he had them, Dr Edelsten or whatever his name was couldn't stop the bleeding. They were buggered again after he left and the AFL ran them for a few seasons, they were seriously looking at removing them. Then the SL war happened and the AFL grabbed that chance with both hands and finally got them some players. That's 3 times broke since 1986 not including when they were removed from Vic for being you guessed it, broke. They have had a cola in their favour for well over a decade.

I seen a report just last month that stated without handouts, every club bar two in the AFL would have seen loses including your very own. Didn't the AFL give the swans $12 million more than any other team last season?

They were in the grand final too aye.

2 of Syndey's bigger clubs get only 28k, thats pathetic. Add a dismal 8k for the sharks against the massive Broncos and NRL just keeps on delivering. Were'nt you aiming for 20k by 2017? :?>

they'll be near 40000 at ANZ on Sunday
keeping the average at around 18500 so far for 2015
YOu wanna try this again? What happened raider? Why the dismal 27k? :?>

ignoring the many sub 10k rounds this year I see. When was the last time the NRL had 4 sub 10k crowds in the first 2 rounds?

why are you resorting to last years biggest crowd? Youve had 2 big games in Sydney already this year that have resulted in very underwhelming crowds that even the Swans would consider average against a reasonable opponent.

How's that 20k average by 2017 looking, the one you said was a certainty? :(/

Sure, the Swans have had issues in their early years. As for handouts, they have not happened for a long time now. What's this about $12 million handout last season. You got a source for that?

As for the COLA, clearly you don't even understand how it works. The Swans pay the COLA themselves not the AFL.

The swans don't pay the cola, they don't have 2 bob to rub together until the AFL hands over the money.
