Wasn't hard to find with a quick google search.
BRENDAN Fevola laughed last as Brisbane overpowered Carlton 16.11 (107) to 12.16 (88) in an Easter Thursday AFL thriller at a sold-out Gabba.

Yeh read theother thread you posted that in.

AFL bullshitting yet again.
Whereas he kicked 3.7 plus one shank out of bounds in his Lions debut against West Coast, he slotted his first three attempts to the delight of the 36,780 Brisbane fans.

AFL have never got near 40 K at the 42 K capacity Gabba..

Lying again..seems to be a culture of it with AFL house..

Maybe they used the "PARTICIPATION " calculator to make 37K = 42 K

HEY BEAUSSIE iposted the link to the LAWSON report.Cant blame Roy for quoting figures that an Academic released in his findings..

1. Western Sydney – The Reality versus Perception Gap
The reality is that junior club maturity and participation numbers appear to have stalled. There are 6% less junior/youth players in 2012 than in 2009. The perception, however, is that the game is growing well. This perception is supported by masking low junior club numbers with Auskick numbers (Club, School and Community Auskick) and school program numbers. This optimistic, bullish perception is needed to market the game, however this perception urgently needs to be underpinned by committed junior club participants.

Why cant they sell out the Gabba?.
Why have they NEVER sold out the Gabba?

RL,RU & Soccer all have sold out Suncorp ,which has a capacity 10K above the Gabba.
that's because they have been the grand final Aleague or super rugby final
the broncos full history at Suncorp
122 games for a full average 26,122k
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brisbane_Broncos_Stadiums
the roar average 14,452
http://www.ultimatealeague.com/records. ... &season=AS
so its easier to brag that it has had higher crowds but, it holds more and its been a grand final of thats codes season

the GABBA has sold out many times
the place only holds 37/38k after all of its redevelopments since the mid 90s, after the stands have been finished and dog track remover, the best crowd the cricket has ever gotten 39k
this year the lions averaged 22k at the games, considering the lions have been shit for the last 10 years, its still ok

any NRL club aside from the broncos would love a crowd attendance average of that
Exposing your lies is my fave part of the day.
AFL HAS NEVER EVER EVER sold out the Gabba.

I have emailed Austadiums about this because I'm pretty certain the capacity is 40,000 now. It's odd that nothing has broken that barrier in ten years and yet so many - particularly in the cricket which has gone the closest - get in the high 30's.
