You don't hear the NRL promoting the SOO as NRL SOO or Internationals as the NRL Kangaroos do you?

Nope, you hear the ARL promote both because quite simply, the NRL has nothing to do with anything in RL besides the NRL itself, therefore, like the AFL, the NRL is the main competition for the code weekly over the season, all other parts of the sport outside the first grade comp come under Rugby League just as all other parts of AFL come under australian rules.

You just demonstrated your inability to be rational. AFL is the term used for the game no matter how much you whinge and carry on about any inaccuracy about it.
