And being a Friday night - isn't it showed live into Sydney anyway?
Usually the Sydney derby is Saturday afternoon or Saturday night with no live free to air coverage in NSW due to the exclusive Super Saturday Fox Footy tv deal.
Year - but - the AFL have stated it isn’t about rating but crowd figures …. Which doesn’t compute as crowds aren’t the issue ??!!
well a packed stadium 43,986
The Giants have defeated the Swans in a lightning-affected Derby
SYDNEY has weathered a literal storm to secure bragging rights over Greater Western Sydney with a 41-point Derby victory in treacherous conditions at the SCG on Friday night.
The Swans once again proved they own the Harbour City, consolidating their spot at the top of the ladder with a commanding 17.5 (107) to 8.18 (66) victory over their crosstown rivals.
