you can have a 70 sponsors or 50 sponsors ... it all depends how much each sponsor Pays what matters..
and with the NRL having bigger tv ratings and more subs i would assume it would only benefit the NRL
v 30% greater reach audience, more matches, massively greater finals viewing, more breaks, and more viewers for magazine shows on average
ratings arent everything despite league fans desperately throwing them around like they are holy writ. And subs has never been substantiated.

Is this why AFL gets so much more in TV rights?

fuck and you think we go on about "but buts"
Sure and then the AFL can include its radio rights too, where they are included in the NRL deal
they include it as sponsorship revenue instead. Aalmost literally the same deal.

Thats FAR from assured.
then what will the excuses be ?
it will be things like
- deal starting 3 years after the AFL one with attendant inflation and changing conditions
- deal negotiated 4 years after the AFL one with attendant changes in conditions.
With the above, and new teams and a post 2031 end date, it better be higher. But then who knows Vlandys might pull the "think of the broadcastsd" bullshit again

its AFL's NEW TV DEAL
Now when it's NRL's Turn and they get more than the AFL Tv Deal. (in 6 months) equal it at worse.
the true value will be submitted
also locking in something 7 years to 5 years. is worth more to the broadcaster to pay more.
(gives them guarantee for longer)

Not really my point. Radio rights arent part of the AFL rights announcement. They are for the NRL (as part of Nine media)
Phone company that hold media, highlights and replay rights for the AFL and its website network. But you keep believing what you want.
