Why does AFL try to claim to be like the Superbowl when the NRL final is clearly way more similar to the U.S event.?

Which is the best football code? Here you can have it out with other football fans.

yes- i guess they all start somewhere. Aussie Rules is pretty unique though and quintessentially Australian. Rugby Rugby League, soccer- all British invented.

AFL (Australian Rules Football) was invented in Australia & is our national football code. Rugby League is popular in Australia but is still very much foreign to most normal Australians.

NFL (Gridiron) was invented in USA & is their national football code. Rugby League is played their also but not very popular at all. In fact hardly anyone would know about its exitance in the USA.

EPL (English Football) was invented in England & is their national football code. Rugby League is also played their but is not very popular.

Azif this is not very hard to work out. Just be happy that Rugby League is still number 2 in Australia (the best country in the world) whereas in USA & England it is barley thought about.

Well no - Australian rules was invented here - the others were invented elsewhere - I think the name gives it away. You came seriously argue that Aussie rules isn’t uniquely Australian ?

They certainly wouldn't have heard of the bumbling mess from Vicdopia , like the rest of the world.
They absolutely know about Rugby League ...& love it !!
Enormous numbers watching the tests V Samoa in the UK these past weeks (741K on a sat afternoon for the 2nd test) , & they are salivating in anticipation of the Kangaroos touring at the end of 2025, full houses expected at all tests , Tottenham's Stadium in London , old Trafford in Manchester & the new Stadium at Everton on the banks of the Mersey

the fumbling game could only dream of stuff like that in the UK

Look asif I will make it simple for you.

Rugby League is played in a lot of countries around the world.

It is called Rugby League in those countries & is not very popular at all, except for PNG where it is their national football code.

In most countries it is a second rate sport that no one likes. The fact that it is popular in QLD & NSW in Australia makes these states look terrible & is an embarrassment to the great country of Australia. Imagine that happening in the USA, England or Europe. It just wouldn't happen as they have great national football codes like Australia does (AKA) called Australian Rules Football.
