How did they overall achieve ? They were red hot favourites to go unbeaten for most of the season. They choked big time - great list - forward line is a weak spot and neither fired. They were out coached on the day no doubt - swans no plan B.

As a pies supporter I can tell you up until 1990 - through the 70s and 80s they were seen as the biggest chokers - so much so it was given a name - the Ciollywobbles. I think they still hold the record of most lost grand finals. Even the two pre ious to last year - one was a draw and replayed - the other was after a prelim draw .

Yes but the Pies have come a long way as a club since 70’s to 90’s, especially last year in your premiership year, you won a lot of games by a goal or less …including the GF !

Then we have Geelong who made 3 grand finals in 4 years - and lost all three- I’d call that a bigger choke than the swans Plus add in another a few years earlier and they lost 4 grand finals in 7 years I think.
