Re: Finals Ratings
Yes I think so too but still think it could come down to teams and where they are from although yes AFL usually win finals. I thought they usually won the grand final too despite the NRL grand final in prime prime time on Sunday evening.

with majority wins.. looks to be around 70% to 30% total.
over pass 20plus years of tv ratings
NRL have been really effected by either seeing two teams in the Grand Final.
Either Sydney Roosters or Melbourne Storm.
who have featured heavily
and which is vomit to alot of supporters.

Re: Finals Ratings
Hey- back off the Storm!!! Consider yourself privilege to live in an area where you have been witness to probably the best team of all time and to see the genius of Craig Bellamy - easily the greatest coach full stop this country has seen. What he has done with the team - and with all the stars leaving and still doing well. Amazing.

Re: Finals Ratings
Anyone can win on the day. The best team of the year for mine is the one who finishes on top after home and away. To much can happen to influence a result on the day.

Seven’s Saturday share of TV ratings was a 42% network share as the channels boasted a live AFL Final and Paralympics competition. Seven was the clear leader in four of the five metro markets and was again #1 primary and network choice in Brisbane where the audience was watching the Brisbane Lions in its first final.
The first of two AFL Finals was broadcast after 3pm with 693,000 watching GWS Giants hang on to win against the Sydney Swans who were eliminated after a few missed chances to take the lead in the dying moments.
Seven News did 1,100,000 between the two finals and then 822,000 watched Melbourne Demons claim victory over the Brisbane Lions. The Melbourne audience was 475,000.
Nine’s NRL match saw the Eels defeat the Storm with 329,000 watching. The Sydney audience was 194,000. The 64,000 watching in Brisbane was easily outrated by the 98,000 watching the AFL in that market. The NRL had 60,000 watching in Melbourne.
