Yes for sure many people have represented two countries. The issue here is the process not the outcome.

I’m sure the international cricket laws are different and not as pathetic as the nrls!

Maybe Izzy the afl failure can try another league country to play for! NZ, England etc

It's simple
There's eligibility laws
If you're eligible then you can' play.
Which is far different from the crap you sprout .
Pick a color
Or pick a country you wish to play for .

Get a clue
But it's understandable
international eligibility is not an issue with AFLOL .

Well Chump
The VFL/AFL started SOO and the NSWRL/ARL/NRL copied like they have with so many other things started by Australian rules, finals, commission etc.

The first international games of Australian rules were played in Victoria in 1888 against an English touring side.
The VFL SOO stopped when it became obvious fans preferred the normal season games than “event” football. Just the reverse than what happens with the NRL.
Actually you'll find AFL copies the NRL a lot too.
Who's trying to make their grand final at night like the NRL?

AFL copied with indigenous rounds too.

AFL has copied us with their international cup. Although AFLs is a laughing stock compared to other footy codes world cups.

Australia doesn't even play in yours  =D
And zero tv coverage.

So what have the AFL copied off the NRL or RL?

I remember some talk of the final 8 system and who did this first? Still can't remember who had it first they way it is now. On that, do you think a final 8 is too much for a 16 team side? I think it is - even when it was in the AFL.

Anzac Day Matches & The bunker system for starters!

Yes, though just like the bunker system I doubt the system was an Australian invention.

8/10 sides missing. I cant see a difference.

I didnt rewrite shit, I didnt have the dates for the early stuff and I didnt try. The fact is the modern ANZAC Day events are what they are - and were staged exactly as I said.
Modern ancient has stuff all to do with it.

Ill post some more tomorrow maybe.

The finals system was invented and implemented by the VFL for the 1897, they have been several variations since, including an Argus newspaper version used for a few years in the early 1900’s.
The final 8 system was first developed and used by the AFL in 1994 and adjusted in 2000.
The ARL adopted it in 1995.
Several other codes and leagues have also adopted the various VFL and AFL finals systems.
“In addition to the NRL, the AFL McIntyre Final Eight System is also used in the Rugby League National League Three in Great Britain, the NSWRL Premier League and Jersey Flegg competitions. It will be used in the final heads up in Circuito Nacional de Poker”

It’s debatable whether an 8 finals system is too much in an 18 side comp.
As not all sides play each other twice, and some teams can have a home ground advantage depending on the vagaries of the draw it is possible that the 4th, 5th and 6th “best” teams may not make a smaller finals playoff because they were drawn to play the best teams twice that season, so I can live with the 8 and it does give more fans hope, most times false, of winning the premiership.
I did prefer the 1994 version of the 8, not many others did.
When the AFL expands to 20 teams I would remain with the 8.
