Yes anglo(don’t know what Anglophile means)filly.

All sports can have peak crowds, now post the average which is a must better gauge, of popularity.
Or would you prefer me to do it.

Going by your reasoning the peak AFL crowd would make AFL the most popular code in the world, which we all know it isn’t, just better than some others.
You missed the point yet again. Figures indicate presence of code across globe. Stadium full of white people at anglofl game here in Australia does not.
League only popular thanks to union!

And no it’s not AFL fans living in a bubble! As it’s loons like you and other looney league tinfoil had brigade that carting on about AFL trying to be international.

International cup is a joke.
Your fucking posting is a joke.

At least the teams are composed of foreign nationals.

Unlike certain world cups where you qualify to play for the country if your ancestors came from there, even if you've never been.
Not one pro or even semi pro team anywhere else in world. Nauru with a grand total population of 11,000 is among the top teams. Mickey mouse doesn't begin to describe how much of a nothing cup is.

So much for anglofl bubble not overestimating global reach.

I hope it's not lost on anyone that half the anglofl insulars here claim they're happy game is only Australia - the other half think international cup is actually a thing.

Lol the VI on his RU rants again .
No one has mentioned RU.
No RL poster is comparing how big RL is to RU
It's not in the argument
So stop deflecting on to it ..
It's all you have when the laughable word INTERNATIONAL is used with AFL .
Now stick to the topic stupid .

I'm not saying this isn't true - I am sure it is --- but how did you come across that information - it's amazing you knowledge of AFL. Did you research it or did it pop up in a news feed etc. /genuinely curious.

international cup is a thing. People come from across the world to play. Is it a major thing - Not at all - well not to me. IS AFL huge in those countries - or even has reasonable interest - I don't think so - but it is a thing.

I always go for 1 day when it’s played at Royal Park and spent a Day at Port Melbourne when some games were played there in 2002.

I also saw the 2008 Grand Final between PNG vs Ireland at the MCG as a curtain raiser before a Hawks qualifying final.
Went to the 2011 series for a day and missed all the others.

I did not go to see the beginnings of an AFL world empire, I was interested in seeing how “foreigners” would play a foreign game in a foreign land. The standard was woeful in some games, and while nowhere near AFL, ok in others. Some individuals in The PNG, Ireland and US sides showed potential.

I was impressed with the improvement of the South African teams over the years and the Samoans got better every game.

But does Australian Rules challenge the other codes internationally, not on your Nellie. And will not.
But is the International Cup real? yep, seen it several times, plan to go again if I can.

Not a great standard but it was fun to watch and the teams involved took it very seriously, mostly.

Players probably jump at chance for trip to Australia, but the fact they're representing different countries means more to the bubble here & the belief game is international.
