See how it goes up against another popular sport
It had clear air on FTA.
Still can’t acknowledge it was a good night for the AFL, broadcasters and sponsors can you?

It lost marginally but would have rated around 60k more if it was prime time nation-wide.
However, I'm not trying to say AFLx is popular, it's just more popular than the RL folk on here will want to admit

Fair Enough, Popularity of a product is seen after numerous games...
Be interesting to see if AFL will go with it again..
I think they will, but will make some slight changes.

AFL to be Beamed into LIVE into QLD on Channel 7
(funny fact Queenslanders will see more FTA games of AFL QLD teams than NRL QLD teams on FTA
Brisbane Lions thrilled with more TV exposure on Channel 7’s main channel
Queensland footy fans are no longer being treated like broadcast pariahs with a major increase in Lions and Suns games to be shown on Seven’s main channel this year
Surprisingly the Suns, who are tipped to be again around the bottom of the ladder, will enjoy an even greater increase in exposure in southeast Queensland with nine games on Seven’s primary channel.
However, they do not have a single match broadcast on free-to-air TV nationally

So, will the ratings be higher than last year given the change to the primary channel?

Doesn't channel seven control the channel they use to broadcast? If not they wouldnt deliberately choose 7mate.
Im willing to admit im wrong if the ratings dont change from last year. Are you willing to concede if they're better?

If the teams improve on field their ratings might improve .
But if they stay tethesame I can't see the ratings being much different
