Copped GOD a lot in the media as a player (deservedly so) but has generally been shunned in football world, a mutual thing. I don't think you'll find the god reference too common these days.
I'm not from Geelong though so don't live in that bubble.

Yes from Melb and was under the impression Storm were hated. You're right, I don't understand. That's why I asked. Does that make me an inbred moron?

I think people in Sydney people probably hate Manly and the Roosters more than the Storm.

Personally I hate St George the most, because they took over my old team the Illawarra Steelers.

I have no problem with Melbourne Storm. They are said to be one of the best run sporting clubs in the country.
And for a Rugby League club to be so successful in AFL heartland.
It is proof NRL teams can do very well in Perth & Adelaide one day too with the right people involved.

There's a few people around on forums etc who hate the storm .
Especially for rorting the cap.....eels fans feel like they should have won _the 09 GF because storm had cheated .
( at least they were stripped of the premierships ..in AFL the powers that be do the cheating for certain clubs ..but that's another topic)

Plus some don't like the wresting tactics developed by te storm..lol all clubs do it now.

Then there's those who appreciate what Bellamy as done .
He's had some champion players but also taken some ordinary ones & turned them into very good players .
They are great to watch when they are on their game .
