A bit like a Shanghai sellout you mean
And what about Etihad ? Or do they have a similar sell out policy?
Are you seriously questioning if the AFL GF sells out?

Are you THAT stupid?
What are you trying to say here, that the AFL isnt popular in Melbourne? That AFL fans dont like attending games?
What I'm saying Is, it doesn't matter if its AFL or Billy Graham. The people turn up in numbers no matter what the event because Southerners look forward to some type of outing(release) from there very humdrum lives. A congress for global warming it doesn't matter. And the likes of Etihad stadium back this up .
In 2015 a rugby League game, An English soccer game and something else all attracted bigger crowds than any AFL game that year with the only exception being that years GF!
so you're saying AFL's big crowds in Melbourne are nothing special because pretty much every event in Melbourne is well attended because there's nothing else to do down here?
There's no doubt the Melbourne public love events, especially sport. However, when it comes to routine week to week support such as a full season of sport the AFL leaves other events and sports for dead. If it was only about attending events the storm wouldnt have a lower crowd average than every Melbourne base AFL club.

What is your point here? Etihad has sold out for numerous events. However, if everyone who has reserved a seat doesnt attend the crowd doesnt meet capacity.

Quiet simple , I think most people could work it out. The AFL sits last on that list of crowds . That's despite having more games, way more in most cases. Don't Melbourne and Gill promote themselves as being Victoria's main sporting code?
There must of been a lot of people that booked seats and didn't show up at Jiangwan Stadium.
AFL chief executive Gillon McLachlan attributed the empty seats to the fact many spectators had flocked to hospitality marquees behind the grandstands. - He's still got it!!!!

Last on YOUR short list of 5, all of which were sellouts. If you had a list of the top 100 games at Etihad the AFL would fill 90% of them.
The NRL GF sells out, as does the SOO, but this doesnt mean the attendance is completely full. It's quite normal to have 1-2% fail to show up. The level of this 'no show' group will determine the final figure, which you seem to think is somehow important. I have no idea why, other than you're a moron.

It silenced the sellout crowd of 82,259 and set up an epic decider in Brisbane in three weeks.https://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sport ... 46a46b05b9
Yet the stadium capacity is 83,500. So are the NRL lying or did about 1.5% buy their ticket but fail to show up?
FMD, it's like dealing with a 6 year old

Union , Soccer and League have all got bigger crowds at Etihad Stadium then the AFL . Sell out or not. the AFL have played hundreds, maybe even more , matches there. For god sake the global warming convention bettered AFL best crowd by over 2 thousand. What part are you having trouble comprehending. Do you often find 6 year olds have a higher comprehension level than you? or has it just rained on the wrong days 500 times??????????????????
And , once again. Melbourne is supposed to be an AFL stronghold.

how is it even relevant? A sellout is a sellout. If 1% of fans who bought tickets dont show up to one game, and 1.5% fail to show at another, it doesnt make the first event more popular. How can you be this stupid??
Anyway, if you think soccer and RL are more popular than AFL in Victoria because of small differences in sold out crowds you're a special kinda stupid. Actually, this all makes sense now

Please excuse the size. It needed to be this big to actually start to show the NRL bar for the MCG.

Lol
The thread is about the biggest crowd at each AFL venue in Melb .
Because your sport isn't on top you say the thread is a deflection .
Maybe one day you will stick your head out of the insular bubble you live in & accept that AFL isn't winning everything .
Lol no you won't ...
