...but you never actually kick the ball!
field goals, conversions kicks, 5th tackle kick. You have no idea lol..

To be honest no credible football code would play on a round field with 3 sets of goals.

AFL is not football.
You call your game football but they throw the ball sode ways
They need to feel like they aren't just weight lifters so hang out on football forums spruiking politically correct mantras supporting mass immigration!

:thumbleft:

League has been played in Melbourne for decades and still only very few could care about it!

Given the fact ther has only been around half a dozen victorians to have gone on to play league in 90 plus years
Only shows how little they could care about such the boring product known as league
Yeah I guess so, when you get the one of the biggest State of Origin crowds in history turning up in Melbourne.

You could play the super owl at the mcg and it would be sold out but hardly would think American football is hugh in Melbourne .

Well AFL has not had a crowd even close to that in Sydney. Despite having a much longer presence here than Rugby League had in Melbourne.

And? If the AFL played there grand final they would easily fill any stadium in Sydney. The NRL played their premium game - of course it is going to get a large crowd. As the Superbowl would. Marquee games are always going to get a large crowd.

An AFL grand final is the only game that could sellout Homebush. No other AFL game would have a hope in selling out a venue that large in Sydney.
Your grand final is the only major sporting event the code has.

As for the Superbowl, they would never waste their time with a city like Melbourne in the first place. They have no decent rectangular sized venues.
If they had it anywhere outside of North America it would be London. Where NFL has a solid following.

Agree with all above about AFL.

Re: Super Bowl ... my opinion is that if the nfl wanted to come to Australia then I think they would likely want to go to one of the worlds most iconic grounds in the MCG. But you never know.

And the AFL would charge a premium and still sell out home bush

Unlike the nrlol bargain bin prices then give away 29k plus tickets and still can’t pack the venue
