GWS is a second expansion team in an expansion market. Homeland NRL games have smaller crowds :(/
Well AFL has never ever had a bigger crowd in NSW or QLD than state of Origin in Melbourne.

And you can sugar coat the AFL game in China as much as you like. But at the end of the day it was a huge flop.

Notice there has been no talk of doing it next year. I wonder why.
and i wouldnt be surprised if the AFL have had the biggest home and away crowd in Sydney......

As for the AFL game in China, no one expected it to be huge, which is why it was scheduled ina stadium that could only fit 11k. As for talk of doing it next year the AFL have already flagged expanding the ground capacity
Lol

There's prob about 80 Mtrs of ground in this shot .
With stands in the background about 1/4 full .

Keep sticking your head up your arse .
It seems to be the comfort zone for fumblers who can't accept realty

the major areas of that stand that are bare are the edges where the stand separates from the oval. The stand immediately adjacent to the bare area is far closer to the ground, and packed because of it

It is hilarious & also bizarre that a fumble fan can see something with his own two eyes & ignore the reality when the cult leader explains why it isn't so

It's more hilarious you guys think two sparse areas of one stand equals half empty

the sides of that stand are empty, but the centre is ok. The other pics I posted show the rest of the ground looks pretty full

Toronto Wolfpack had a home crowd close to what the AFL got in China and they are a 3rd division team.

Well it is not a good look for AFL when they promote and hype game for over a year in China and that is the turnout.

It just proves my point again and again, AFL has no international appeal what so ever.

You do realise the point of the game was not about growing the game in China ?
