Simple question . How do you pay for a stadium with FREE ENTRY?

Normal rational people would want to see what at least one whole seasons crowd average is when people pay to get in .

I think the AFL would subsidise it initially with the aim of charging down the track. It's like a drug man

If the AFL want to keep pouring money into it... so what. Maybe they are taking a long term view of women's football and see getting people there to watch will benefit them more than say have 100 people there who pay. Reality is maybe most games may get 10000 approx average ... that money is a pittance to the AFL and the marketing gained by having a large crowd and creating an atmosphere around the ground and game is worth more long term and more broadly re sponsorship and exposure.

Again, why do you care if AFL pays the rent and loses money ?

Easy, the running track as far as I know doesn't get used now or hasn't for years, they could take that out and you would have a good ground for cricket and AFL, it might be a bit smaller but for the womens game it would probably suit them more.
