But but but, I seem to remember you guys, soccer and AFL continually running down other codes crowds that play on the same nights every week during the weekdays.

LOL

During winter too with school, bad weather, late kick offs and finishes for the last decade and a half and not just once in a blue moon, I mean every week with multiple games LOL.
Lol the nrlll gets fudged 8k sized crowds all the time rain, hail or shine any day or time of the week
Another lie .
Please post when the last fudged crowd was .
Off ya go you claimed al the time .
The last time was years ago .
That's not all the time .

If you can't then this post along with all your other bullshit posts should be deleted .
Lol the nrlol has a known history of being caught out for fudging crowds

You loons keep claiming the gws and gcs crowds are fudged, yet the AFL doesn't have control of the grounds and the crowds are counted by a 3rd party group and there has been no evidence of fudging as yet!

So it's just another load of conspiracies and denial from you tin foil has loons

Thursday night game, after 8pm it started against a foreign team (NZ) not surprising it had a small crowd. But hey, not what you wanted to hear I know

I don't think you'll find me running down the NRL like that. I continue to say Thursday nights games are stupid, I don't see the need for them in NRL or A League

Thursday night game
So what? Some of the Swans biggest crowds have been Thursday nights in the same Moore Park precinct with AFL games going longer into night. Pathetic excuse, however I do take on board the shit opposition I guess. Still surprised me me how little support the top of the table Sydney FC has in Sydney considering their amazing winning streak.

Wanderers bandwagon seems to have dropped off as well.
You mean like in the School Holidays?

I believe GWS crowds are being misrepresented. And while it might be an AFL contractor - Ticketmaster - who count the numbers, the AFL are the ones releasing the information. Im fairly convinced that the League is releasing the numbers for tickets sold/distributed, not through the gate on gameday.

one of those classic pots calling the ketlles black eh
That is interesting, there was a report a few weeks ago that the Wellington phoenix are concealing the true figures of their home matches from the FFA as well.

pretty pathetic with the success they are having...

LIVE: FOOTBALL: A-LEAGUE SYDNEY V WELL
FOX SPORTS 4
58,000

with no other sport on at same time..
And that's the national figure. Just imagine how small the actual Sydney audience really is? What a joke of a code.
The only thing holding Football back at a professional level in Australia is money. They don't have the best of the best players like AFL and Rugby codes have.
Any player that is at the top level will play in European leagues where that can get much more lucrative contacts. Not in Australia.

Saying that, soccer would be lucky if it has pumped one tenth in promotion of the sport compared to AFL in NSW.

It has never needed to try to pay other codes players millions to promote itself.

It has never needed to give away tickets and balls to bribe children like AFL has.

Has never needed to spend millions on goal posts in schools or ban other codes from.using it fields.

Yet with all those disadvantages, it still kicks AFLs arse with participation numbers and general interest in NSW.

Will be interesting to see the turnout that the Brazil vs Argentinas match gets at the mcg in June. All these Melbourne AFL fans can watch a real football game where players can actually kick a ball with accuracy.
Yes they will get 100k in Melb because it will have actual stars playing how this relates to your usual BS is anyones guess.

Said this years ago, it was always going end up around the old NSL days with the occasional big crowd thrown in.

Yep there's big derbies in all sports & sokka fans lap up the media attention .
But reality is there's not enough big games to carry the a league & with the BBL suffocating them plus now WAFL taking some attention there's not much light at the end of the tunnel .
