Soccer unlike RL could survive on transfer fees just about alone in NZ from the couple of guys they get each year or so with a pro team playing in aus letting the production line tick along. Too much money in soccer.
we get a lot of heat from afc allowing them to compete in our league because afc fears fifa will try and make afc and ofc merge into one confederation which would elevate already ridiculous costs and logistics

if the nix were pulling their weight i would be all for them but they keep making promises that they will improve and they just keep going backwards

the transfer fees they get for players is alright but they need to work on their tv deal. there is also a market in auckland for that team but its even smaller than wellington and we already tried there and failed

wollongong/canberra/tassie would be way better places to start up new teams than nz. gallop is just obsessed with big city metrics...he also wants a 3rd and 4th team in sydney, and a 3rd team in melbourne...hes gonna over-saturate the place

You wish the AFL had a presence in NZ like soccer has at club level no matter how small the Phoenix are seen to be.

If we were talking gws here, the first thing to note would be a similar picture yet a crowd average three times higher.

Lol the AFL crowd averages is similar to that of the nrlols side, if you want to talk crowd fudging, the nrlol have been outed several times over the decades for it.

Now stay on topic thick shit, the we have already received a warning about it heading off topic
Australian sporting sponsorship
AFL excess of $50m
A league $30 million plus
ARU $27 million
NRLOL $25 million

Is well behind other codes but is still bigger than anything AFL will ever have there.

The New Zealand All whites did pretty well in the Fifa World Cup not top long ago. Drew with Italy.

There no comparison for crowd averages between sokka & AFL in NZ
Because there is no AFL team based there .
Only a few exhibition games that the crowd halved very quickly .
Same as RL ..a team there ..no AFL team .

So take your Rl rants & piss off .
This is about sokka in NZ .

It's not in good shape .
But at least it has a team & is still playing there
