Like any business an AFL or nrl club is going to seek revenue and new ways to get it.

lol that is the biggest myth of all time leagues club supporting local communities!The_Wookie wrote:Leagues clubs exist for the purpose of supporting the local and national rugby league clubs, you idiot. Its almost the entire reason they were created the way they are. Hell some of them are so integrated they report the club revenue in the leagues club reports. And then theres the leagues clubs that are non existent....leagueiscrap wrote:You struggle to understand the basic finances and revenue spazzer
Essendon made a losss, they aren't getting hand outs from it any where, as they will cover the loss.
You mock gws and gcs for receiving extra money from the AFL, then justify nearly all the nrlol clubs getting extra money from their leagues clubs and owners because they can't raise $10 million on their own!
Then you go a mental rant having a go about it then throw insults!
The irony in your stupidity as you clearly have NFI
yes there are some ponts to be made about some revenues when compared to AFL clubs - membership and gate revenues are likely to be smaller due to smaller attendances and less history, than an AFL club, but the league club issue is not one of those things in question.
The irony is you calling people out for stupidity when you carry on like a fuckwit about stuff you clearly know nothing about. Did you ever find the Melbourne Storm leagues club you invented?
as all businesses do, look at football related earnings for the AFL clubs vs the NRL clubsFred wrote:Like any business an AFL or nrl club is going to seek revenue and new ways to get it.
So whats Paramatta's excuse when they were'nt fighting ASADA and list 11 million? Looks like pot meet kettle.NRL&NFLweLaughATafl wrote: Tue Nov 22, 2016 8:16 pmLooks like Essendon is in the same position as the struggling Brisbane Lions who are in debt 13 million.
Is a huge contrast to Cronulla Sharks who pleaded guilty early when investigated by asada and took the penalty. I am pretty sure they recorded an operating profit for the first time in years.
I guess it pays not to mess with asada.

Ricky Stuart more or less gave away half our bloody team just before he bailed to Canberra, well not before he managed to get a player or two to follow which Parramatta are still paying for.
There are reasons, and the cap is the main one, plus the dorks running the joint dont care, they just see the leagues club as a open bank cheque.
The Suns and GWS are getting $20m in hand outs each year and the Bears, rather the LionsNRL&NFLweLaughATafl wrote: Tue Nov 22, 2016 8:16 pmLooks like Essendon is in the same position as the struggling Brisbane Lions who are in debt 13 million.
