This thread a fail!
Yes it is on AFLs part because we are still yet to se an AFL player doing a propper sidestep. =D>
Far easier to step to the side of someone coming from directly in front of you - one direction. Try side stepping opponents coming from all directions like Cyril Rioli, Kieran Jack, Paddy Dangerfield, etc etc. that's what makes this thread a fail comparing apples with oranges again!
None of those guys you mention have gotten even close being able to do running sidesteps like Shaun Johnson & Roger Tuivasa Sheck.

Yeah I agree, it is apples and oranges. But maybe a lemon is a more suitable fruit for AFL  judging by those lame attempts you guys posted.
  =D> =D>

I am glad you guys posted them though. Really shows Rugby League has the better agility skills when sprinting.

The AFL players don't even run constantly with the ball in one hand on those videos.
You really have no argument at all!

Yeah I agree, why argue when you can see how much more Rugby League allows athletes to show their skills compared to AFL.

Why do you think an AFL player should do the same things as an rl player ? They are completely different games.

I dont see rl players doing things AFL players do... and nor would i expect them to. In soccer do they tackle around the waist ... of course not. Do rl players handball ? Of course not as it is against the rules etc.
It's not that they should do the same things as Rugby League players. Is more of a case of AFL not allowing their players to have the skills to do so.

Soccer has a round ball. Is not made for flick passes so pretty irrelevant.
But real football (soccer) is a sport which leaves AFL for dead when it comes to goal strikers.

Well yes AFL has a different skill set. They are different games after all. Completely different. It is not like comparing rl and ru
