You cannot be that stupid. Prime time gets far far more viewers because people are home and want to relax in front of the TV. They might not be prepared to change their plans to see a code theyre not passionate about, but if theyre home theyll watch it.

How was my answer garbage? It's pretty common for people to watch a program in the evening they wouldnt change plans for to see in the day time. I watch the news in the evening. I'd never change my plans to watch the news int he daytime. This is why prime time is prime time, people watch TV because they have far less going on than in the day time

Everyone who is interested knows exactly what date the GF is on .....9 months ahead .
If you want to swAp or organise a day off ...there's no excuse .
bahaha
its more of a case your looking for but buts to justify the prime time vs non prime time.
pretty funny how every match for the finals the AFL has flogged the NRLOL in and yet the ratings for the grand finals will be similar.
the AFL has spoken of having an evening grand final next year
clutch the straws while you can spazza

Making up shit again lol..
True fact 2015 total national audiences.
NRL FINAL TOTAL AUSTRALIA WIDE PEAK
4.4 million
AFL FINAL TOTAL AUSTRALIA WIDE PEAK
3.9 million
That is half a million more for the NRL and we don't even have teams in SA & WA.
And that is not even including NZ viewers who watch NRL finals in large numbers.

And a viewer has a lot more choices in prime time. You wont see many Elvis Presley re-runs or episodes of Bonanza during Prime time.

The RL GF goes up against other top rating shows .
The AFLOL Gf goes up against 50 yr old movies that are being shown for the 20th time

There are just as many channels on Saturday arvo as sunday evening. The difference is most people are home on Sunday night while most are out on Saturday arvo. Why do you think networks show their most popular shows on sunday night despite good competition from other channels? Despite the competition they still get better ratings than showing it out of prime time.
The other issue here is melbourne is a sporting city, while sydney seem quite ambivalent to sport. Ratings for the nrl finals from Sydney have been pretty uninspiring

See the advertisers are paying more for a 30% more for the same ad space fir the AFL.

Its not the channels its what's on them!
Really, then why does the NRL attract more viewers year in year out with less matches?
